Privacy Policy 2025
Last updated: October 22, 2025
Echo (“the Plugin”) is a Figma plugin designed to export design tokens from Figma into platform-specific code for React Native, iOS, Android, CSS, and Tailwind. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how it is used, and how we protect your data.
Information We Collect Echo collects anonymous usage analytics to improve performance and understand feature usage patterns. This includes platform type (React Native, iOS, Android, CSS, Tailwind), export type (GitHub or local download), feature usage events, and approximate token count ranges. No personally identifiable information, Figma file names, repository names, or token values are collected. For licensing purposes only, Echo may store your Figma user ID (a technical identifier, not linked to your name or email) to validate your license through Lemon Squeezy. This ID cannot be deleted while the license remains active, as it is required for ongoing license validation.
Third-Party Services
- GitHub Integration: GitHub authentication is handled via OAuth or Personal Access Token (PAT). Tokens are stored locally on your device using Figma’s secure storage and are never transmitted to our servers. Generated code is only pushed to repositories you authorize.
- License Validation: Echo uses Lemon Squeezy to manage license activation, payment processing, and subscription validation. When purchasing or activating a license, you may provide your name, email address, and payment details directly to Lemon Squeezy. This information is processed in accordance with their Privacy Policy (https://www.lemonsqueezy.com/privacy) and is not stored or accessed by Echo.
Local Storage Echo uses Figma’s encrypted local storage to save license information, GitHub access tokens, and repository configurations. These values remain on your device and are not shared externally.
Data Sharing and Retention We do not sell, rent, or share user data. Anonymous analytics data may be aggregated for product improvement but never includes identifying information. Figma user IDs are retained for as long as the associated license remains active. No additional data is retained beyond what is necessary for functionality or legal compliance.
Your Rights Echo does not collect or store any personally identifiable information. The only stored identifier is your Figma user ID, which is used solely for license validation and cannot be deleted while the license is active. All analytics data is fully anonymised and cannot be linked back to individual users. Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR or CCPA, including the right to contact us with privacy-related questions at [privacy@youremail.com].
Security We use reasonable measures to protect data from unauthorized access or misuse. Local storage is encrypted via Figma’s API, and no sensitive data is transmitted to remote servers controlled by Echo.
Changes to This Policy We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Updates will be reflected in the plugin or its listing page.
